Mae Ram Phung Beach is one of famous beaches in Rayong, where it is white sandy and the longest beach in the province, approximately 12 kilometers long. Pine trees along the beach area are naturally decorative spots making the beach more shady and attractive. Not surprisingly, lots of visitors usually come to relax and picnic here. There are also many restaurants and street stalls near the beach. It makes this beach living. This beach is looked after by Khao Laemya National Park, located nearby. This beach is not far from Rayong City since it is only about 11 meters from the city. However, there is a warning for swimmer about rip current here.
The beach is clean with gentle slopes suitable for swimming, but swimmers should study rip current in order to protect themselves from potential unsafe incident. For toilets and bathrooms, visitors can find throughout the beach, but it will cost you a little, too. Additionally, a range of accommodations are available here, so don’t worry if you need either a cheap room in guesthouse or a seaside hotel.
About at the middle of the beach, there is a seaside park decorated by the municipal, named Lan Hin Khaw. It is clean and also an attractive place with the decoration of coconut trees around, lawn and a number of large white stones. A lot of tourists come here for sitting around, picnic and take a photo of good view of the beach. At the end of this beach, it is the location of Ban Khon Ao, which is a small fisherman village. This area is also a good place to see sunset, and it is a point to connect to Khao Laemya National Park also.
To go to Mae Ram Phung Beach, after you arrive in Rayong at the bus terminal, you can take a songthaew to Mae Ram Phung beach, which will take about 15-20 minutes.
