Ao Pakarang Beach is the farthest beach on Koh Samed Island. This beach is located in the area that coral reefs presented nearby. Visitors can enjoy snorkeling nearby. Atmosphere of the beach is peaceful and relaxing, although there are no exciting activities as popular beaches. There is also a small hill next to the area of the beach, where visitors can enjoy seeing sunrise view in the morning.
Ao Pakarang Beach is about 7.3 kilometers far from Nadan Pier. It can be seen as the farthest of the island (though, the actual farthest point of the island is End-Island View Point, which locate just about 300 meter farther from Ao Pakarang Beach).
There are three major areas at Ao Pakarang – one is the beach area (the beach is about 100 meter long), another one is a deck area to enjoy sea view and snorkeling, and the last one is the area of Nimmanoradee resort, which is the only one resort here.
As facilities provided here are not many, visitors will have just a few choices for their convenient and comfortable. There is only a restaurant, a massage space, a shop located, and it is also difficult for visitors to walk to other beaches. To rent a motorbike to this beach might be a good idea to make visitors go somewhere much easier. Note that, visitors can still walk to End-Island Viewpoint, about 300 meters, from this beach.
