    Most visitors come to Koh Samed and prefer to stay a night or more. So, there are a wide range of resorts and bungalows available on the island to support such visitors. As the accommodations available are situated in different location and provide different facilities, their room rates are offered differently.

    For this reason, it would be good for visitors to, in advance, assign conditions to select an accommodation to stay, such as room with beautiful sea view, inexpensive bungalow, accommodation in peaceful area, resort with shops and restaurants nearby, and so on. This will help visitors be able to choose ones that match what they really want.

    Most accommodation is located around Sai Kaew Beach and Ao Vongduan Beach, most popular beaches on the island. In such popular areas, there will be many resorts for visitors to choose from, and definitely in various price also. On the other hand, at non-busy beaches on the island, there might not be more choice for visitors, and there is even only one resort in the whole beach.  

    For those who are planning to travel to Koh Samed during high season, October – January, or long weekend, it would be better to book a room in advance. This is because to find a good room by walk-in method at that time would be pretty difficult.

    * Warning! In many cases, visitors time to time get problems for visitors who booking a room from a catalog at piers on Ban Phe side. Complains are usually about rooms with expensive price but not good looking as they are showed in the catalog. Lack of facilities is also a reason for making visitors unhappy. It will be safer for visitors to take some time to find information online, and they then will have more confident to choose a room by walk-in or book online.
