Koh Samed End Viewpoint is the farthest southern area of Koh Samed Island. This is a place for visitors to see either view of eastern side or view of western side. In other words, it is a good place to enjoy the panoramic view from the morning to the evening. Besides, there are a number of artificial rock piles in the area. These rock piles are created by people – they believe that to create this pile mean to travel back to Koh Samed again.
Koh Samed End View Point is about 7.5 kilometer away from Nadan Pier. Visitors can take a Sonthaew to this viewpoint, or get a rental motorbike to come here. It would take about 15-20 minutes to the destination, because there are road bumps throughout the main road.
At the entrance of the viewpoint, visitors will have to choose to walk to east viewpoint or west viewpoint. The walkway to the east viewpoint is easy and clean, while the walkway to the other side a bit mess-up with trees.
Near the entrance, there is a toilet to support visitors and there are also a small shop and a small restaurant located. Apart from that, not far from the restaurant, there is a small stair down to a place to snorkeling as well (100 Baht for rental snorkeling equipment).
Note that, to go to this viewpoint at night is not recommended. This is because one who visit there might be alone on the street and it can be unsafe.
