Another Challenge Needed After I Came Back to Thailand

step out of comfort zone

Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.”
Pamela Vaull Starr

Dear diary,

Two days ago, it was a turning point of my life.

I sat next to my sister while I was thinking what I should do after I had gone from home for 6 years. Sitting on a couch with a mouthful of snacks and watching TV wasn’t me at all. I’ve been working so hard in US. Coming back home to do nothing might be a sweet long vacation for someone. For me, however, home is a comfort zone that seems to be too comfortable, and that’s why I feel like it has no challenge at all.

I seemed lost or maybe crazy to think that way.

My sister said I should find a new me, make new friends and have a new life.

She asked me if I was interested in study something.

“Good” I thought. “Do you want me to go back to school, wear glasses like a bookworm and carry books like a nerd in about this age? Are you Serious?” I asked her.

She turned to me with a smiling face “There is a fun study that I recommend you ‘must’ sign up to and you will get everything you want.”

“What’s that?” I asked.

………

Today was a sunny day. I loved walking under the sun when I was in San Francisco. But today, in Thailand, I sweated like a pig after walking only half a block.

I came all the way from Bangkok to a University in the east for enrolling “Tour Guide Program”. I was going to become a student again.

I am going to take a pre-test and get an interview in the next three days. What should I prepare for test? What do I know about Thailand?

One thing I know is I know nothing much about Thailand.
