Pom Pee Khao Laem National Park

Pom Pee View Point is a great spot for visitors to see beautiful scene, where many people believe that it is the most beautiful place to see sunset view on the western of Thailand. Quietness surrounded and the large water scene of Vachiralongkorn Dam with mountains on the background attracts a number of visitors to enjoy visiting over time. In the winter, visitors can also experience foggy atmosphere in the morning, which similar to some great attractions in the north of Thailand. Pom Pee View Point is located within Khao Laem National Park, Thong Pha Phum district, Kanchanaburi.

Pom Pee View Point is situated next to Vachiralongkorn Dam in Khao Laem National Park. The word "Pom Pee" comes from "Per Pee" in Karenese Language, meaning Aor tree, but when the time past, people call it distorted as Pom Pee at the present.

This place is popular for visitors to take some rest in a tent in a place provided by the national park. The area is also great for the sunset view and relaxation. There are also toilets and shower room provided in the area to make visitors more comfortable. If visitors would like to go swimming, they can jumping off from the raft provided. Visitors are allowed to cook with the equipment the park provided, but thouse who would like to buy can also find restaurant in the park. Note that, anyone that would like to stay in a house rather than a tent can also make a reservation with the park in advance.

To go to Pom Pee, visitors can take a VIP Bus or mini bus from Kanchanaburi bus terminal in the city. The bus will go to Sungklaburi, but visitors can get off the bus at Pom Pee, Khao Laem National Park on the way. Those who come from Bangkok can also take a first class bus (Bangkok – Three Pagodas Pass) from Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit), 5 AM or 6 AM.
