Wangmuk Restaurant
Wangmuk Restaurant is a famous restaurant in the area of Sammuk Hill. Although its atmosphere is just fine, the restaurant is usually so crowded at noon and evening. This is because Wangmuk offers delicious seafood with reasonable price, and it is also situated close to Sammuk Chinese Shrine, where it is a popular place for Chinese and Thai people to respect to the angle. The location of this restaurant is in Sammuk Hill area.
Wangmuk has been served for more than 30 years, so it can deliver the quality of the food. The restaurant is quite large and getting well ventilated due to the location that closes to the sea. From the restaurant, customer can sit with the view of the dock nearby. At the day time, all customers, to avoid sunlight, are seated in in-door area, while in the evening the outdoor zone next to the sea becomes more popular. The atmosphere of the restaurant, in general, is not outstanding, but in the evening time is more romantic for those who sit by the sea.
The price of food here is in average, compared to other restaurants in Bangsaen. It started from under a hundred Baht to the price depending on weight. All kinds of food cooked here are so good taste that it can bring many customers to come back again and again. Stir-fried mixed seafood with spicy sauce (Pad Rua Por), for example, is so strong flavor of ingredients cooking with shrimps, fish slide and squids. Por Tak, hot and spicy seafood soup, is also a popular one since there are many kinds of Thai herbs in the soup that’s good for health, but be careful of a small green chili in it.
The location of Wangmuk Restaurant is easy to find. From Bangsaen Beach, just drive to Sammuk Hill. Then, Turn, to the main street to circle around the Hill. About 500 meters from the entrance, the road is split into two ways, uphill and downhill. Take the right way to downhill where the road lead to Sammuk Chinese Shrine and Wangmuk Restaurant.
Note, there is only a small parking area for the restaurant, and the road in front of the restaurant is quite narrow, so in the peak time, customers may prefer to take paid-parking (about 20 Baht par car) offered by local people in the area. Another thing is that the road becomes the one-way road on weekends and holidays.
